Awarded for innovative Research
The Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft e.V. (Donors’ Association for the Promotion of Sciences and Humanities in Germany) has been continuously honoring the highly innovative research work of Insect Services since 2014. Insect Services has already been involved in six publicly funded research projects, with another project currently running until spring 2021. In the field of plant protection, we are involved in projects to develop new monitoring and control methods against psyllid pests and spotted-wing drosophila (Drosophila suzukii). We are also a member of the ZIM network FruitAdapt, an expert platform for the development of innovative products and processes for the optimal adaptation of fruit cultivation to ongoing climate change. In the area of biocides, the company is working on the development of a biological tick trap. Insect Services is an associate member of Infravec2, an international and interdisciplinary network for the promotion of infrastructure for research on vectors (disease vectors).
